Portland High-Rise FAQ's

Have a question about Portland high-rise condos? We’re here to help.

  • Which Portland buildings are pet friendly?

Pretty much every high-rise building in Portland is pet friendly.  The exceptions are the Fontaine and some of the older co-ops. That said some buildings are better for dog owners like Vista which is next door to a dog park and has dog grooming stations. Encore, Metropolitan and Park Place are other great buildings near parks.

  • What are the tallest Portland high-rises?

The tallest Portland high-rise condo towers are the Ritz-Carlton Residences, Fountain Plaza, The John Ross and The Cosmopolitan

  • How much do I have to put down on a High-Rise?

Some high-rise condos are eligible for FHA financing, meaning you can buy one for as little as 3% down. Other buildings might require 5-10% down or more depending on your credit. Be sure to work with an agent who specializes in Portland high-rise condos like Stuart Stevens who can help steer you in the right direction.

  • What do HOA dues cover?

Homeowner Association Dues (HOA Dues) vary by building but every building has them. Each owner has to help with the costs of maintaining the building and the amenities so they pay a monthly fee based on the size of their unit to the HOA. Buildings with fewer amenities like The Gregory or Encore will have lower fees, while full service buildings like The Casey and the Metropolitan will be higher since there are more expenses.

  • Where are the Portland high-rises?

You'll find most of the Portland high-rise condo towers concentrated into four different areas: The Pearl District, NW Portland, Downtown Portland and the South Waterfront
